The Latin American Journal of Dysmorphology - LAJD publishes two issues per year in English and Spanish Languages for succinct case reports on the etiology, clinical delineation, genetic mapping, and molecular embryology of birth defects. In addition it reports original investigations, subject revisions, articles of reflection, short communications, dysmorphology images, editorial letters to the publisher and a very special section denominated Art and Dysmorphology.

This journal covers such topics as multiple congenital anomaly syndromes with particular emphasis on previously undescribed conditions, rare findings, ethnic differences in existing syndromes, fetal abnormalities, art and dysmorphology and cytogenetic aberrations that might give clues to the localization of developmental genes.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit Original Articles, Reports and Reviews may be in English and Spanish Languages should not exceed 20 pages in length (10,000 words).

Deadline for final paper -----> September 20, 2011.

Accepted papers are scheduled for publication in October 2011 and will be subject to the regular peer-reviewed process of Editorial Board.
